Crowdfund for Cheese Bar

General Info September 3rd 2018
Crowdfund for Cheese Bar

The Cheese Bar recently announced that it was starting a 200,000-pound crowdfunding scheme for its new site. It is expected that the new restaurant, accompanied by a subterranean wine bar will be opened this winter. The restaurant will be opened at the heart of the capital.

Founded by Mathew Carver, The Cheese Bar recorded a huge win for their first crowdfunding campaign, which saw it raise a record 100,000-pounds in just three days. It also received an additional twenty-six thousand pounds in pledges on top of its initial goal amount. Cheese enthusiasts who missed out on the first round now have a chance to get in on the action with the second round of crowdfunding.

The Crowdfund - Mathew Carver launched the second round of crowdfunding on Monday, 20th August 2018 with the aim of raising two hundred thousand pounds. The Crowdcube campaign will allow each investor to own a slice of the company. Apart from ownership, other available rewards include free meals at The Cheese Bar and having the aptly named Cheese Truck cater your next event based on the amount of money that you choose to invest in the venture.

The new restaurant is expected to cater to guests looking to get away from the hustle and bustle associated with Central London. Guests will be able to take seats in the establishments’ airy ground floor area that will be lined with display fridges showcasing truckles and wheels of maturing cheeses.

The Menu - This new permanent home is expected to continue dishing a menu of some of Carver’s well-known gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and innovative plates. The basement is expected to host a wine bar filled with a cherry-picked collection of normal wines that can easily be paired with charcuterie and cheese plates.

The Cheese Bar is renowned for only using the best of British Produce sourced from some of Carvers’ favourite urban cheesemakers, e.g., Gringa Dairy and La Latteria in Peckman, and in other cheese making locations in the United Kingdom.

Guests can expect to sample small plates such as Mayfield Gougeres, Truffled Baron Bigod, and Smoked Mozzarella Sticks with Chilli Jam. Alternatively, guests can also opt to try out the larger picks that include Crispy Leeks, Blue Cheese Raclette with Salt Beef, and Chicken Poutine with Crispy Sage. They could also choose to share an indulgent 4-cheese fondue amongst two people.

Conclusion - Mathew Carver, its founder says no other cheese scene in the world is as exciting as the one in the United Kingdom. It is the reason why The Cheese Bar is looking to open a new location, to enable it to bring more cheese to Central London.
